At Avk care hike we understand that the most viable option for long term care of patients is home care. This turns out to be most convenient option both in terms of finances and caregiver comfort in the long run.

Our attempt at providing the much-needed comfort and peace of mind for primary care givers at home, is to train the everyday helpers and make them  the first line of healthcare safety for the patients at home. The training  provides them with basic knowledge and communication skills necessary to identify  the patients’ medical emergency and communicate to the right people as needed.

Difference between a helper and trained worker.

Training duration : 2 days..

Medium of teaching:

English . Hindi and Telugu.

  • Moving and handling
  • Communication skills… patients and families
  • Infection control
  • Checking vitals and identifying Patients at risk.
  • Fire safety and precautions
  • Basics of physiotherapy
  • Hygiene/ handling and bathing basics.
  • Medication handling and safety.
  • Personal care and ADLs
  • Nutrition of sick patients. ? What to feed them ?

Certificate provision for workers..

A certificate of training will be provided to the participants which they can produce as needed.

Eligibility criteria..

There is no minimum eligibility criteria for this training and it is designed to help workers pickup practical skills .
